He should have run a monster truck over the cars in the lot, and sent them back to the factory...

            cliff notes
calisle chevorlet open:1926 gm will not renew dealer licence, dealership will close oct 2010. (oldest dealer in texas)
chrysler states no longer DCJ dealer in june 09
90 people employed will lose jobs
1.3 million in tax revenue lost
Frank A Blankenbeckler III (Dealer principle for Carlisle Chevorlet Cadillac Jeep)feels that his inalienable rights to life liberty and persuit of happiness are being infringed upon through the closing of his dealership by GM, as he has been a dealer for almost a century. He also feels that GM does not have the right to close the dealership when he is the one that pays the cost of operation and in no way is a "burden" on GM.

Capitalism at work folks. Many of you accept this type of behavior from big business, and can unanimously agree that its part of killing off dead weight. And if anyone knows, he can have his dealership, he will just no longer be licensed to sell new GM or Chrysler vehicles. NOTHING is stopping him from going to the auction and selling used cars. But you all know and you all wanted your capitalism without restrictions. This is the end result.

i think the dealerships should suck it up like everyone else who has been layed off. the companies can cut off whichever dealerships it wants, regardless of whether they were good or bad dealerships.

and in a true capitalistic society, gm and Chrysler would no longer exist by now... so the remaining dealerships can thank our fat gov't for their jobs.

Mogobs30th: there are some around here selling used cars now... in fact gm told their dealerships to pursue selling other brands (lousy business sense for gm)
