Re: need new brakes
disc brakes are a piece of cake man!!! I actually enjoy doing them, all you need is some ratchets and sockets to take the bolts out that are holding the calipers on, a pair of vise grips or regular pliers to hold the sleaves in place while you are unbolting the calipers so that the sleeves don't move and you can actually unbolt the calipers, after you have the calipers off take a C - clamp and a small piece of wood (about 4in by 6in) and put the piece of wood on the piston caliper and the C - clamp on the piece of wood and the back of the caliper and tighten it till the piston is back all the way and then you put the new pads in and and bolt the calipers back in place. Remember though to use jack stands if you have them, block a tire when jacking it up so it doesn't roll back (freak things happen sometimes) and don't let the calipers just hang from the brake lines - keep them supported. Have fun!!
