After all the complaining about politics, I forgot about what I truly pay attention to this time of year.....FOOTBALL. I love the sport (and hate the pats), so lets discuss. BTW, if I see a post about hockey or basketball or World Cup, Im going to delete your post. Stick to football.
Roger, I have noticed that SF is doing VERY well on the defensive side of the ball. Now if they can just get the offense to work a little better, the NFC West could yet again be a contender.
Nate, pats suck. They look terrible, not even a possible contender for the playoffs, and if they are, it will be from default from the sad division called the AFC East, but you still have to go thru the Jets, who are on fire for the first quarter of the season. I think the pats dynasty is over, the team that won those SB's a long distant memory.
The Colts on the other hand, still a devastating machine on offense, second only in my opinion to the Saints, who could easily be representing the NFC in this years SB. I mean, how can a team hold the ball for more than 3 full quarters of a football game AND STILL LOSE. Only the Colts could have pulled out a win like that, and just wait till Gonzales is back opposite Wayne. With Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzales, Dallas Clark, and Pierre Garcon receiving, and Addai and Brown coming from the backfield, it will prove to the world that Tom Brady and the pats were nothing more than a hiccup in NFL history, and that Peyton Manning is truly the greatest QB of all time.
BTW, Im also pretty impressed by the way Cincy has been playing. Ochocinco is doing well considering, especially with the removal of Rudi Johnson.
