    gotcha covered boss:

my date was the same way: her and i have been out a million times, but she gets really scared/doesnt like all scary movies, and i love them...so we made a deal---we did a double feature basically: see a comedy we both wanted to (Couple's Retreat was a great date movie too btw) and then time it to go see the scary movie right after.

that way she's relaxed about it from the first movie, and you get to take her to the scary flick.

worked like a charm for me mang.

we've made a habit of the double feature---last week i got her to come watch Law Abiding Citizen (again, bad@ss movie) then Zombieland, and she ended up loving both.

looks like making deals with each other worked for both of you, im going to have to try this again bc i have to be doing something wrong if it worked for both of you.

it's only as scary as you let it be.

If you follow the film/director's hype that it's the real footage from a couple living in CA, then it'll be as scarier than you could possibly handle.

If you approach it from the POV that it's just another hollywood movie, just shot on a microscopic budget...then yea, you'll be laughing thru most of it. It's all about what mindset you walk into the theatre with

Oh I know that...and thats why I didn't really find it that scary...but when you start to think about it as the possibility of being true...and factor into the fact that, if it were true it would be a real B*tch to deal with because you can't see it. THATS what makes it the worst, is you can't see the damn thing...if I can see it, I can fight it/kill it...thats my mind set. Thats why I never find those movies like scream etc scary...killer after me? buy a gun, take him out next time he tries, simple, done....
