while i believe this does lead to most of their accidents, they do believe they have worse depth perception due to the fact that many women never played any kind of sports, and so they never improved depth perception
whaaaat????
no dude women have accidents cause they dont pay attention.
Lol. I know about insurance rates and such for men and women. My parents own an insurance agency. Women get into accidents because their attention is oftentimes elsewhere, not because of a deficiency in depth perception. Men tend to get into accidents because they like to push both the limits of their own abilities and those of the car. Although there are exceptions for each case. In this case, a lot (but not all) of those exotics are completely destroyed. Some as the cause of inattention, but most probably from pushing the car beyond the limits of the driver and the environment.
There's a reason insurance rates for boys and men (within a certain age range) tends to be more expensive. :p
You have a good point there. Women do get into more accidents than men because they are easily distracted by their cell phones, friends, and their vanity mirror which in laymen's term we call rear view mirror.
When men gets into accidents it is more severe due to the fact that they do push their cars and their abilities.

Sorry we hijacked your thread, MT.
Ironically, even though it seems like females are the ones always getting into accidents, or seen putting on makeup, texting, talking on the phone, chowing down, etc. while driving, males still get into more accidents per year than females. The difference in numbers between male and female accidents is definitely lower than it was in the past decades, but there's still a significant difference.
As for that article, while it is true that men tend to be stronger with spatial and physical skills (ie. math, science, hands on tasks), aka right hemisphere characteristics, and women tend to be better with language, communication, and reading skills (aka left hemisphere characteristics), it is a biased article stating opinion, not fact. But it also makes a leap, saying that spatial skills and depth perceptions can be considered the same, which IMO is not the right way to describe the inability "to see your own bumper or hood". An inability to correctly assess continuity and spatial recall would probably be a better way to describe this "depth perception deficiency", but it's not common enough or severe enough to generalize to women drivers. Most of the time someone (male or female) misinterprets the distance between their car and another is either because their attention is divided, they're being impatient, or they're inexperienced. I'm sure there are some exceptions out there, but for the most part it's from the reasons I listed above.
I might as well give a little extra info here. Yes, I am a girl. I've been driving for 8 years, almost 5 of those in my Camaro. To this day (*knocking on wood*), I've received no tickets, been in no accidents, only been pulled over once for a DUI check (driving around potholes within my lane at 1am), and also tend to have a little fun with my car every once in a while. I'm also an undergrad Psych major focusing on Cognitive Development, in case you hadn't noticed. :D
Oh, and while I prefer not to with this car (most parallel parking spots around here are made for sub/compacts), I can parallel park perfectly fine on the first try. :P
Lambo Contach with front end damage and windshield for 25K is not bad. There's a lot of body kit used on the Fiero conversion that could replace that.
I have been checking around for some cheap fixerupper Lambos for my next project, I wanna find a Diablo that needs body work then ill convert it to a GT model.
