      Re: Oh firebird drivers ;)

I remember how nervous I was my first time at the track. I ran an 18.6 I think! I waited for the light to turn green and FLOORED it, just sat there spinning.

That first guy was just a retard. I made sure to ask people in the staging lanes for advice (exactly WTF I needed to do) before getting up there. Even if he didn't do that, why didn't just look over to see where the stang was sitting? The reverse thing is half understandable... its happened to all of us at some point. Most of us have just been fortunate enough to do it privately.

Damm, there Police Dept. must have some great insurance to do that with other cars around, most depts. in AZ have to end chases, stop and turn around so the speeding car doesn't hit other people or property. They just have plain police cars follow and use a chopper to track them. Only 2 departments are allowed to chase that I know of , its been 3 years so it might have changed DPS(highway patrol) and Phoenix police. Nice vid Edgar. I wonder how much the drivers who got hit because of the police car hitting it got for indangering their lives. I know standard here would be 250,000 to 500,000 per person for a civil lawsuit.

She lost traction and didn't know how to over correct and let off the gas when she needed to.

I dunno...it seems like something more then just that...like, did she have the steering wheel cranked to the left when she came down? loss of traction shouldnt result in that lol...

She barely came up and when she came down she kept on the gas and like you said had the steering cranked wrong and still kept her foot in it didn't look like she ever braked at all. LOL

I've spent alot of time at the dragstrip running cars... I'll guarantee the left axle cut loose when she launched... have seen it happen numerous times!!!!

That is a ton of damage considering she was on the gas for all of like 2 seconds lol...just goes to show you what can happen in High Horsepower cars very quickly if you don't know how to handle the power. (and she probably knew how to handle it)
