Sold my truck!
I decided friday that I wanted to sell my GMC, mainly so I can sell it, make a profit, buy another vehicle with a cheaper payment and invest some money into other projects that I have.
I put it up for sale; Bought a sign for $2.49, told a few friends, told a few business owners I deal with to keep an eye out, and that's it.
Friday night I was at my buddies, the truck was sitting out front with the new sign in the windshield. I was drinking a beer and preparing the keg to be tapped for the halloween party, when this guy shows up asking about the truck. He drove past, saw it,.. and stopped. He said "is it really for sale?" Confused, I said.. Yes, it's really for sale.. and he replied "sold."
He hadnt driven it or looked it over at all.. He asked if I'd start it, So I did... I let it warm up a few minutes, Piped it up a bit so he could hear the exhaust and it rolled some smoke.
He asked to take it for a drive, so we did.. he didnt wanna romp on it or anything.
We got back to my buddies house, and he took down my info, and the VIN # and took a picture of it.. and said he'd call his bank on monday to get the loan. Saturday morning, about ten am. he calls me about 3 times within 5 minutes, til I picked up (i was at work).. to tell me he got approved for the loan, and I should have the $ by tues. or weds.
He didnt haggle me at all, gave me my asking price.
So I talked to him again last night, and he said hopefully wednesday the check should be at his mailbox.
lets cross out fingers, I made almost 10 grand profit on this deal :D :D :D
