for home use SUCK! i keep blowing bulbs over my pool table so i figured i would give these a shot they are "bright white" color temp is 6500K they are pretty much fvcking blue and stupid i could see more with a 25 watt bulb than these.. (supposed to be equal to a 40 watt bulb) so if you are thinking about getting them.. DON'T!!

Well yeah, 6500K basically is blue. You absolutely want something closer to 3000K for home use. Blue lights indoors make everything look terrible, and is a terrible color as far as making things visible and vivid. That is why they use blue light in movies to symbolize night, the colors fade together.
And I've seen LED bulbs for sale, but right along with what you said, I thought about the LED technology that is current right now, and there really is nothing that is going to compare to a incandescent bulb right now as far as luminous output.
