anyone else annoyed by the MW2 multiplayer where some games you can use party chat and on others you cant. i think thats rediculous. i always use the damn party chat because i cant stand listening to some of the people you wind up playing with. between the idiot kids that want to sing like douches, and the wiggers trying to be gangster i cant take it sometimes.
Hell yeah, although they have added 2 more in the last couple of days. The night it was released there was only 3 and now theres 5, lets keep hoping it is allowed in more games.
Pfft....I play too much Warcraft to BUY another system. Computer always has had what I needed in a game, no sense in messing with either a PS3 or an Xbox

What about those who bought modded systems and didnt even know it? Im going to mod my old school xbox so I can turn it into a media center and emulate some classic systems. I never play online so I cant say I see your fustrations but I can understand. Its just that there are those who do not cheat who are going to get canned.

the only ones that should have gotten banned from XBL are ones that have their anti-piracy software tampered with. Whether this happens when someone mods their console to play pirated games, or this happens when someone swaps HDs or turns it into an emulator for old games...Microsoft doesn't care.
The old xbox I've modded time after time after time. As a matter of fact, I modded one for Halo 2 maps. I NEVER played other people with it for gain, rather I invited my entire friends list for modded gun fun.

I'm in a course right now relating to how oppressed groups can "resist" the [political] system. This post doesn't necessarily reflect my views, but rather a notable (in my opinion) consideration for WHY people may be modding their consoles.
I don't own a console, as I prefer to get laid, so these numbers are just from 30 seconds of research.
A new xbox game costs $59.99. Do you expect people to just play one game? No! Someone who just enjoys playing video-games on occasion will probably have between 4-10 games. This means that they could be spending $600 on games alone. Then you take an enthusiast (virgin). 10? 20? 30 games? Just think about how much money would be spent on games.
Is it right that, after spending $299.99 (current price, was more when they first came out), someone is expected to shell out more than twice that just on a few games?
Then I will make the assumption that MOST of the people modding xboxes are probably more "experienced" gamers. They probably have 20 or 30 games. I would be willing to bet that at least 7-9 of those games were bought legally. They already paid their dues to microsoft ($1000?). But now, just to get something new, they have to shell out another $59.99.
Would it not be understandable to say that after spending that much ****ing money, you might deserve getting a freebie or two?
I had the opportunity to buy a (new) xbox from a friend for $100. It was an extra that he got as a gift or something and just wanted to get rid of it. I decided not to do it because I knew that unless I wanted to stare at the menu screen, I would have to spend hundreds on games. If I thought Microsoft was willing to help me out a bit, even if it was just a free game after buying 3 or 4, I probably would have done it. That would have been good profit for them after taking a miniscule hit, losing the battle to win the war.
But that brings up another point. How much are they ACTUALLY losing when people "steal" their games? I'm not talking about missed profit, I'm talking about not recouping production costs (I'm not an economist, don't know the right terms... sorry). After paying for game development, it must cost them NOTHING to produce the actual games (disc and case). They are greedy... and people SHOULD do what they can to "**** the system."
As I said, this is just considering another view. Think about that and then pass judgment.

what it comes down to are people are cheap. if you cant afford the games maybe you need to get a better job.
it has nothing to do with screwing the system or how much you spend on games. if you spent 1000 bucks on games and get 5 months worth of entertainment out of them how is it any different than buying say a boat? you dont steal boats do you?
if playing games isnt your thing its not, it has nothing to do with people not getting laid. i get laid plenty (and always have), own **** loads of games and it'll always be that way. the idea that everyone who enjoy's playing video games doesnt get laid is rediculous at best

Wow steve, I disagree with you on pretty much every point you've made.
1st of all.. I game. I also live in an apartment with my gf. Let's just say I get enough "action" in that area.
Freebies? So, if I buy like 3 houses should I get a 4th for free?
As to production costs and such.. the 59.99, I'm pretty sure that their "greed" later goes into developing future games that are created with newer, better technology that has been funded by the 59.99. Not to mention the shipping and packaging as well as the retailers portion. No shipping, no retailers, no funds.
As far as profit.. I just know, if I do something better than other people, I better be getting paid for it, and enough to make me want to keep doing it.
I in no way mean any disrespect, i'd like to have a civil debate about this so I'm not gonna throw any personal attacks, other than at mogobs, cause I like picking on him every once in awhile. I just wouldn't like it if I were to work one someone's car or whatever and they didn't want to pay or were like.. "This was the 5th different repair, I don't feel like paying."
