Went to court this morning regarding my eviction. There's good news and bad news. Good news is that I got section 8 and a program called RISP, which helps evictees keep their current homes (kinda like an emergency bailout). The bad news is that I really have to push those people to get the paperwork done within the week so I can keep my apartment. My landlord doesn't want to see me go out on the streets, so they are willing to work with me in this paperwork process. I swore when I got married that I would never go get government assistance, but unfortunatly I need it. When I'm on my feet, I will stop accepting section 8 assistance. I see the light at the end of this tunnel, but I hope it isnt a truck.
