I was rushing to school to take my politcal science final. My university is located within downtown Houston, so its stop and go traffic most of the time.
At one intersection, a white mercedes( older model maybe early 90's) took a left turn onto the far left lane, another car also happened to merge onto that same lane and caused the mercedes to slow down rather quickly. At this time my light was already green and I'm about half way through the intersection and starting to pass up the two cars. The mercedes switched into my lane pretty quick and got me in the rear driver side right above the wheel well( think cop's pit manuever.)
When I saw her coming into my lane, I started honking because she was getting to close but she still got me. Knocked my caprice sun outta my hand and my lunch bag off the passenger seat. I pulled over to the left lane and put my emergency lights on to check the damage. She pulled over in front of me.
The damage wasn't bad, no dents, just a big, white scuff mark. This happened in my DD, 97 toyota corolla already had some body damage, so I said oh well and I was late for my final. I pulled up next to her and she asked me "Did I really hit you?" . I scooted up a little so she can see the damage, we sorted it out and went on our way.
I'll post a picture later today after work. I just found it strange that she had no idea she hit me. It knocked my drink out of my hand and jerked me a little, it was a rather tough hit for 10-15 mph traffic.
Just wanted to share with yall my morning.
