  • New guy here...PICS++

Some of you will recognize me from a few of the other boards, finally got my stuff activated here so I can post, and use up more time visiting the gripload of V6 message boards I'm registered on already! Thanks to FirebirdGT for activating my account!

    So here's what I've got:

    2000 Pontiac Firebird
    Maple Red Metallic
    GU6/G80

140K miles and down for a big rebuild since June. Started off as a project to replace the leaky intake gasket and install a cam. But when I pulled the valve covers I found something that dictated a full rebuild.

    Fun stuff installed:
    Whisper Lid
    Aluminum driveshaft
BMR 32mm front, LS1 19mm rear (both w/ poly endlinks)
UMI LCA's & Adj. PHB (Installed while engine was removed)
FFF Longtube headers (first ones on the market)
    TSP Rumbler Catback

Current setup before tear down (mustang dyno):
    184 TQ @ 4700 rpms
    169 HP @ 5300 rpms

    Build in progress:
    60*Inclusive ported Heads and Intake
Yella Terra 1.7 platinum roller rockers
    Intense S1X NA Cam
    TCI 3800 stall
    PA Racing Tubular K-member

Looking at brakes and shock/springs while I have the k-member off, then all the car needs is interior and body work. It will happen in that order because the locals aren't body work friendly:spank:

    So, pics!

      Engine now:

Ignore bolt location on timing cover, just put them in to hold down the gasket and cure the RTV.

Sadly enough it sounded healthy but it was in bad shape. Should run like a top once it is together. Want to get some wheels later, probably do it when it comes time to get new tires :)
