When I rebuild an engine, I let it run for about 15 minutes to seat everything in then take it for a WOT run. They usually last longer that way.
i always break in the cam and lifters, then thats about it. I figure if its gonna have problems, it will be during cam break in, so when thats done, i take them and give it hell.
