Re: 2010 New Year's Resolutions... let's hear them

I don't really do the whole New Year's resolution thing, because a lot of times it starts out strong but fades throughout time. So whenever anyone asks me what mine is, I respond "to get fat".

Realistically, I've been wanting to get back into the daily workout routine I had back in soccer in high school. That and maybe look at giving up sodas for a while. So I think I'm going to give that a try and see how it goes.

How about I delete anything in this thread that refers to religion, and delete anything in the future about it, politics, or anything else for that matter.

If you want to spout off about religion FREELY, be prepared for the laughs. BTW, this was also my resolution 2 years ago, I seem to have failed. Since you probably think Im full of s***.....

I have one New Years resolution....piss more people off. I think I was being too nice to some people, and I need to stop doing that.
          From this thread.... http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread...ght=resolution

Max, you keep saying I hate my life. You're wrong, and your precious book and preacher are WRONG. I LOVE my life. I LOVE everything about it. I sleep peacefully every night knowing that I am the master of my own destiny, my own fate, not the plan of some make-believe deity. It is an open mindedness you simply cannot understand, you haven't the capacity to do so.

The bible states that god gave man free will. he does not control us.

and my new years resolution is to survive basic training.

How about Islam then? Anyone that responded to my negativity towards what I said to venom and his religion have a problem with the Muslim faith at all? Prior to your post, I never said anything demeaning at all about his religion or his beliefs, I laughed at him, then I did the same thing as he did. Someone asked what my resolution was, and I answered.

I respect all religions and beliefs.. so no, I don't have a problem. Never did I say you said anything demeaning, however, you're laughter at his post was disrespectful toward his belief, which is what I was stating. And don't try to act as if you didn't intend for it to be demeaning either. If someone asked for your opinion on religion, than by all means, give your opinion, that's fine. But when someone is simply saying that there new year's resolution is to live for god, there is no need to start mocking their beliefs and values. All I'm asking is next time try to show a little more common courtesy towards others. Thanks.

Seems this thread has turned into religion bashing...oh well here goes.

Deport all the muslims, deport Mohammed and anyone who has Hussein in their name as prefixed, middle or suffixed. I'm way tired of hearing and reading about recent terror threats, it's gotta stop. It's on TV, Radio, Twitter...the list is eternal. There, I said it. Off my chest now for '09.

                      :twak: was that honestly needed?

my new years resolution is to stop swearing so much, and get back to the gym and begin some hardcore conditioning...with the new program I'm going to be getting into, it would probably be helpful to my career if I make the squad for the school hockey team at the very least...

Well I'm not going to participate in this hijack thread about religion. To me I never felt freer being with God than when I was an athiest. I was always angry at something when I was one. Well to each his or her own.

My resolution is to find a job or 2 that will pay all my bills. Hopefully move out, because I feel haunted by my neighbors passing. I still keep waking up at 5:20am and that sound keeps playing in my head. I'm also going back to training hard. I plan on volunteering in teaching RCIA classes.

And of course its your First Amendment right to say such things, just as it is my First Amendment right to completely disagree and laugh at such nonsense.

I actually thought of a new resolution, to understand our founding fathers better from all sides, not just the narrow minded view most have been taught.

                              2 things.

                              Weight

When I moved to Texas, I had to have gained about 20lbs because of stress alone. I PT with the best of them, so its abnormal.
