Well, I was going to do some maintainence on the 94 V6 Bird on the last day of the year. Had a new poly tranny mount, u-joints, oil change, injector flush and a few light bulds in the interior that was going to be done. I took my daughter back to her mom and then to see my son, 170 miles round trip. I had to stop at the race trailer at the storage lot to get some stuff out of it. I am 4 miles from the house and the fuel pump died. Called my wife to get the truck and tow me back to the house. Thank God for an air compressor and die grinder. Cut the floor out to access the pump. got it back together and the next day I smelled a strong odor of gas. The O-ring had slipped off and wasnt' sealing. Oooppps. Thank God again for that big hole in the floor, haha. Got it fixed and all the above mentioned stuff. The new u-joints went into an aluminum driveshaft. This car is so smooth now that I don't want to get rid of it anymore, haha. I guess when you have 256,000 miles on you, you need a little TLC.

Re: Maintainence
Took about 30 minutes to cut it since I didn't know where to. got it on the first try.
I just cut 3 sides and folded the metal back and used Gorilla tape to hold it back down in place. since the car is black and the tape is black, I figured, why not?. I crawled under the car and looked at the exhaust and suspension, came inside and read the v6 forums anddecided "what the hell". Thanks to you guys for making my day easier. Much appreciated.
