Re: sooo
I felt down the first time I dropped off my first son to day care. He was well-cared for by very kind and loving folks, so I got used to it. But it was hard at first.
As far as the car, my 1987 Firebird got a lot less attention after my son was born. Soon after, I got a company car and the Firebird sat a lot less-used. Plus, my new baby son took up all my free time (I wanted it that way). My wife and I decided to sell it to get a little extra cash. I still regret that move. As my boys got older, I really missed having the fun car to drive around in. I got the 2000 Firebird about 4 1/2 years after my first son was born. That really made driving the boys around a whole lot of fun. Not a racing car, but a fun driver. My two sons like my 2000 Firebird and have grown up with it around. They are getting kind of nervous now because they know it is getting somewhat old for a daily driver (they want to have it around when they start driving).
I'll tell you one thing that really changed since we had kids:
My golf clubs have sat almost completely unused for the past 15 years. I have not played a single round of golf since my sons have been born. I've only been to the driving range like three times since the older one was born. I see no reason why I would want to go do that when I could be with the world's best wife and two great sons.
