It's got like 412 hp and 390 tq and it's due to come out mid-this-year. It's rumored that it can do 0-60 in 4.5 sec. Which will make this quicker than the Camaro SS.
Talk about pony car wars. It's nice to see that the V6ers are getting into it too.
I saw that it was coming back, oh well chevy needs to lighten up their cars and start putting in LS7 engines to keep the cars going faster. LOL

i'm gonna wave the :bs: flag on Ford for this one. even the heavily praised gt500 with a supercharged 5.4 only does 60 in 4.5 and that's pushing well over 100 more horses. i'll believe that when i see it.

It's interesting that ford's stepping up the pony all around. I want to see Chevy's or possibly even Dodge's (since it'll be so far behind now) response to it. :cool: Start of a new muscle car war? perhaps...

the gt500 weighs significantly more then a regular GT.

I think the 5.0 stang will also gain some weight, but the engine is a 4v per cylinder and it's heavier than the 4.6 3v per cylinder. How much weight is still yet to be seen.
its going to weight about what it does now. its going to rip the camaro a new one with a 500lb weight advantage. the motor itself is still based around the 4.6 before it so its going to weigh the same more or less.

X3 , Ford always has messed up dyno #'s and time slips. Proof will be in the testing of it.

I agree proof will be in the testing, but you guys cannot compare it to the GT500 numbers. The GT500 weighs nearly 4,000 lbs. While the regular GTs are 3400-3500, nearly 500 lbs less.
Either way the new GT350 looks pretty sexy.
