I have chatter when there is barely any water on the windows...if I give it a quick squirt with the washer fluid I am fine. It only happens when it is "spitting"...and once you spray the windshield once the problem is fixed. I use Mothers caranuba wax that I buff onto the window in a haze and then buff off, fwiw.

what did you use? I have a couple buddies who do the same and we've never had issues?

Maybe you are cleaning it off the windshield, but it's still on the wipers and gets re-applied by the wipers every time you turn them on... I would think that soft scrub would work...

I've tried coke in the past and it actually works pretty good. I was leery at first since I know how corrosive it can be (ever put a penny in some coke?), but I was dealing with that rain-x residue for so long and couldn't take it anymore. I just hosed down the car really well afterwords and there were no issues.

I think the Comet followed by Dawn did the job. They were just a bit squeaky still but are getting better and better as time passes.
