That are going to be dad's :). Just found out my girlfriend is pregnant; wasn't planning on kids for a few more years, and she's been on birth control, so this was completely unplanned. But, I couldn't be happier :). We just found out Friday and both our families and friends are as supportive as can be. Downside, I'm getting rid of the Camaro :(

Let me clarify my statement before I get flamed for being an @sshole...

1. You've been dating this girl like 4'ish months ( you barely know her.. no way you can know someone in that short of a period of time.

2. You still live at home

3. Your too young (In my opinion) to have a child, nor are you mature enough more than likely.

4. You deliver pizza's, Cant possibly afford to support a child, Let alone the cost of Dr. Appt's, and delivering the baby.... and you plan to move in with your g/f & get an apartment.

5. Lastly, You have to sell your camaro... and from what I can tell, it's a very important part of your life / Hobby.

Of course Opinions are like @ssholes and everyone has them, but thats just my look at it.

And even though I have a negative opinion, Good luck to you.. Hope it works out and Im wrong!

I would have to agree with you Matt, one of my Cousins who is 20 got his girlfriend preganet after 3 months of dating and she doesn't want to work at all and he is trying to get 2 jobs to get a appt. and they just got married on Jan. 1, 2010 since they are Christians their family is supported but it is going to be a rough life for along time.

see i'm on the other side....shaun wants me to stay home, i do too. but at this point, me working is working for us. gabe loves it over my aunts house. i love going to work. so we're just playing it week by week to see what i decide to do

1. We've been dating for nearly 4 months and I've been pretty much living at her place for the past 2 months. I'm sure there's still things I'll find out about her, but I know her pretty well...

2. Still live at home now, but am moving out this summer once I finish school. That'll be before the baby's born...

3. Too young, I agree with. I didn't want one for a few more years, but things don't go as planned... But I have seen younger people have kids and make it fine, so...

4. I'm waiting to hear back from AT&T for a job from them, and also have leads on 2 other full-time jobs. I should have one by the time I graduate...

5. Since I've started dating her, I haven't done anything to the Camaro besides basic maintenance... It was a big part of my life, but not anymore.


I've seen people less fortunate than me raise a kid, so I have a feeling everything's going to work out. She tried to get pregnant a few years ago with an ex; luckily she couldn't, because he ended up cheating on her, so for her to get pregnant on the pill this time seems like a pretty big sign to me...

She has her first appointment Monday for the blood test to confirm, but I doubt 6 home tests came back wrong :P

She already has a stable job, and her boss treats her like one of her kids, so... She actually just got a raise too the day before we found out :P

no 6 test can't be wrong...if you get one possitive that means your pregnant. they read a level called hcg, which is only found in pregnant woman. the levels double every 48-72 hours and end in the 10s of thousands they can be detected usually between 4 plus weeks (mines was only 3 weeks lol) keep in mind ( not to scare you, but its a reality) that 25 % of all pregnancys end in miscarrage. 80% happen with in the first 12 weeks. and than your odds go down. many people say that once you see and hear the babies heart beat (week 8) your odds are good. that is why MANY people don't tell anyone, besides family that they are pregnant until after the first trimester(12 weeks) that is why i did. i did see and hear the heart beat at 8 weeks but i just wanted to pass that finish line.

i do a ton of reseach when i was pregnant and know the books inside and out. if you have any questions fell free to ask

Ya, we've been doing our research. Her favorite site is babycenter.com now :P. We're hoping it won't end with a miscarriage... We think she's about 6-8 weeks in, but we don't know for sure yet :(. I was told they won't do an ultrasound until 16weeks here, so...

grats. good luck to you guys. at your age you got energy to spare but be ready for a rough couple of months. babies are demanding.
