its still driveable here, but i wouldnt recommend going out
we have got about 10" of snow in about ~7 hours
my street hasnt been plowed for almost 6 hours, so you can imagine there is about 9" of snow on the street, i saw at least 20 cars spin out, and someone hit some guys brick wall that he just had built this summer
Northeast Ohio... lake effect... We're getting absolutely nailed with snow. I took the Volvo out a few hours ago and it was a blast driving in like 8" unplowed.

Oh YEA, 14" when I went out at 7am and the bird and the maro are completely covered i might put pics up then, and somehow I have to get to work later on.
BTW, its snow, its not like you're driving thru red hot magma. The **** will eventually melt. If you can't drive in it, buy chains. I drive the Firebird in this **** just fine.:slap:

chains are illegal in most parts of the US and are only allowed under states of emergencies.
2nd largest snowfall in our history. first time in history that we got this snow fall and new york got under 4 inches....
woke up at 7 am to get started with the drive way (can fit 7cars in my driveway) 2 hours later i was finished. went back out at 4 to clear everything for good.
where the snow drifted away, it was up to my knees and the deep spots where up to my hips. it was so deep that i had to let myself fall backwards at one point and crawl out hahah.
and keep your freaking rain on the west coast...that the sh!t that is gonna give us more snow on wednesday:(
Alright... they're predicting 8-10" of that crap down here. Just as soon as the roads are finally drying. I'm not sure which will be worse to drive, open FWD diff/bald tires or crappy tires/LSD RWD diff. Guess I'll be staying home on Monday and Tuesday.

I drove from Springfield, OH to Indiana, PA yesterday in my Impala... left at around noon got to Indiana around 9pm, a drive that normally takes a little less than 5 hours... we ended up getting about two feet here, called home and they got around 8 inches...
The drive wasn't too terrible except my lock-up switch is effing up in my Impala so if I hit the brake and then get back on the gas the car lurched and the tires would spin every time... so basically I couldn't accelerating after braking unless there weren't any cars on either side of me...
What was worse than the snow was the slush... you could drive a few miles no problems and then all of a sudden you're hydroplaning like a motha...
and I'll be driving back home on Monday... let's hope that second storm doesn't hit early

My buddies just got back from driving to Indiana (not in PA) and they ended up off the road somewhere in the middle of OH. Had to have some random guy pull them out with his truck, tearing their bumper up in the meantime.
