  • Who needs an oil change when you can get an engine change?!?!?!

Dropped the TBSS off at the dealer after work tonight. It started knocking again! I'll never need to use the complimentary oil changes the dealer gave me since it needs a new engine every 2k miles!

The best part is that I don't even drive the thing. My mom does.

lol, she just drives it to work. 12 miles each way. Not even "spirited". I've been letting her use it since her RWD BMW doesn't do well in a foot of snow.

They probably haven't even changed the engine.

They undo the pan replace the rod bearing and button it up.

                  Dealers can be shifty.

Yea, Im thinking they're not even swapping blocks. That would cost them waaayyy too much money.

It had a brand new crate LS2 put in last time. I can tell the difference between a 50k mile engine and a brand new one.

Lemon law only applies to New cars. I bought it GM Certified used. Had I not had the certification, I'd be f'd in the A.

For those of you that think they didnt replace the motor, or just "dropped the pan and replaced bearings" (Like its just that easy?).. Are wrong.

If you've ever worked for a dealer, or are familiar with warranty rates, they are a joke.

They would much rather prefer dropping a short block in it and swapping over parts, or a long block and call it a day.

Say it took a tech 10hrs labor to do the work, he's be getting paid for probably 5 of that.

Swapping engines on the other hand are much closer to warranty rates

Just throwing something out there, not trying to cause trouble.

Lots of shady used car dealers do that when they buy off wreck row( back lot trade ins) from the new car dealers.
