I can't imagine they would be that careless for that to be real, but it sure looks real, and had me convinced for a while. Any articles or anything to prove legitimacy? Crazy either way.

"cut" and "that was right on target" gave it away.

Movie filming. And there is no way with ANY demolishing service that anyone could be that close.

Just saw that it's a fake. Watch underneath the minivan just as the ball hits it. You'll see the flip-mechanism that propels it on it's side. I fell for it too.

          Probably filming a movie.

I watched it over and over and it looks so real. A piece of a panel came off too on impact.

I put it on another message board and got laughed at 'cause I thought it was real. :D Oh well, I guess I need to watch certain video's a little closer before believing.

Define fake... it was obviously staged, and the van had a little assistance flipping over like that, but it's not like it was CG or something... the wrecking ball really hit the van and the van really flipped over... lol

Re: Wrecking Ball taking-out a minivan

                        1. Wrecking balls are not made that LARGE, never have been. That would be a 20 ton piece of steel if it was.
                        2. Demo crews tend to not use wrecking balls anymore, especially in a populated city, where the street and occupied buildings are that close.
                        3. If there was a chance on the wrecking ball being that big, it would have plowed thru the car as if it was a bowling ball going thru pins. It wouldn't have slowed its motion in the least. Its just physics.
                        4. Notice at the end of the shot, there is a guy grabbing the ball. Are you kidding me? That piece of steel is NOT going to stop swinging from someone simply grabbing it, you're going to have to tether something like that off, and you'd have 3-5 guys on there to keep it from swinging. One guy is not going to stop its momentum in the least.

                        Fake as hell.

its been proven fake already last year. It was a movie set and one of the scenes. You can even hear the director say cut at one point
