As someone else pointed out, I wasn't sure where the "Introductions" section was, so I decided to post here, so go easy on me if it is in wrong section.
My name is Roman and I live in CA.
We recently got my wife's 95 Camaro running and I came across this forum and thought it would be a great place to educate myself about the Camaro.
The was sitting for over a year since I couldn't get it started as it needed a fuel pump. I felt bad it was just sitting around and every time I looked at it I was like one day, you'll be drivable again! Hang in there!
I tried all the tricks for getting the fuel pump running like hitting the tank with a rubber mallet, etc. Since this wasn't a cheap repair, we had to wait. So we just recently got that fixed and tuned up so she is up and running and I will be doing a few upgrades and repairs, including changing tail lights and EGR valve. It's an awesome car. It is white color, all dark tinted windows and sit pretty low. I will take a photo of her and post on here in the near future.
I really like the Camaro. I used to be somewhat of a Euro or Japanese car guy, but now I have new appreciation for American cars.

The Camaro is a very solid car that runs great and looks great and it will be nice to meet people that also appreciate it.

Welcome to the site! There is a ton of info on this site and a lot of knowledgeable people to help you with any questions you might have.

You say you're in California... Only California cars got the 3.8L engine in the 1995 model year. Otherwise they had the 3.4L. Do you have the 3.8L? If so it's a fairly uncommon car. Est. ~500 made.

      Thanks for the welcome.
That's an interesting fact, did not know that. But they also sold the 3.4 here too, no? This car is not originally from CA. We drove it all the way from back east. It did great going that far. It even passed smog here with flying colors.

It's my understanding that the 3.4L couldn't pass California's new emissions standards for the 1995 model year, so GM gave the California cars the new engine that wasn't otherwise available until 1996. So yes, they sold the 3.4L in CA, but not in '95. And keep in mind that was a new car emission standard, so it wouldn't affect previous model years.

            Re: Introduction

Just found this site, great info, thanks. Can not find the Introduction forum. I'm a new owner of a 2000 Camaro, V6, m5, just put on 99 vette rims, love the car, have to commute 80 miles a day, hence the V6, no way with my foot I could commute with an LS1, tried the Honda thing for about two weeks, not for me, I've owned hundreds of cars with an emphasis on GM. Through the Chevelles, Impalas, and Novas this is my first Camaro, and again I really like this car. I will try to figure out how to post a pic or two. I have heard something about shortening the radio ant., how? My car has AC, Monsoon stereo, T-tops, but no cruise control, is this typical? What does it take to install factory cruise? I need to drop the car a bit, just for appearance, any suggestions? Thanks again......

The 3.8 engine appeared in mid-95. Not just for the Calif., but pretty much all over the states. I know Wes' Firebird is a 95 with a 3.8 engine and he's from Chicago.

But I think Calif. was a priority to recieve this new engine.

Where at in Calif are you from? If fuel pump is your problem there's a trick we do here where you don't have to drop the axle and the tank to get to the pump.
