Its good hes ganna buy a new ss. I'm considering one myself but those new ss's are slow as hell stock. They need a full exhaust, intake and a tune right out of the box just to open them up. Thats why I'm hesitating on one myself. They just weigh to much with to little power.

Also lol on the self proclaimed intelligence. I'm just stating fact of what I got on my last IQ test. Is it wrong to fill others in on the truth or is that proturding on your ego. Not to be an *** but saying you can hop behind the wheel of your ls1 anytime and its your dads ls1 is kinda lame. You own a v6 camaro. Be proud of that, don't claim your dads car as yours. Unless its yours then muh bad. But it seems like its your dads.

Like I said with some force induction you can get that. And it doesn't have to be expensive.

My uncle has a 1200rwhp with a 526 engine 1972 Corvette with a huge root Supercharger. That car will do low 8 sec. easily. I drove it, but never stepped on it all way. That thing is loud and scary, but I still love my V6. To me it's fast and I get great gas mileage.

I did bought my car (actually both Firebirds) brand new. I had plans on trading 98 in for a Formula (don't like the TA front look).

4 months of ownership of this car with less than 10k on it I crashed it. I was trying to have as much fun with this V6 before I trading it in. I was racing a 300zx (non-turbo) in the FWY. Bone stock and my V6 beat that thing, but I lost control and fished tailed horribly till I crashed it to the guard rail.

After it I got it back from the body shop, I felt bad and but I also feel in love with the car. Instead of using the money to buy a Formula I went ahead and bought a brand new Supercharger, Borla, Cat. and other mods for it. I never look back. A lot of V8 owners love what I've done to my car. To this day I get a lot of nods.

My future goal is to own an 89 TTA or a Knight Rider.

my thoughts exactly thor.

and i already inherited the car. i found it straight off the truck at our dealership and we went in on the car together when i had the v6 for about a year or so --- and he put it in my hands after i graduated college when he saw i was getting serious about working on both. the new SS will be his toy, and he wants to help me build the ls1 once i've reached a point where i'm happy with the v6.

I love my v6 camaro and I have driven around the world in it in the 6 years ive owned it. I put 100K of very hard rough miles on it but kept it well maintained. Then I got a steal on an Eclipse beater car which I then traded along with a built 400ex 4wheeler for my current 95TA with a freshly rebuilt engine with ported heads/intake with a cam and Borla catback and QTP cutout. Its got some rough spots appearance wise and needs a few more mods to make the most of its potential like a bigger fuel pump, headers, and bigger injectors along with a stall to compliment the 3.42 gears I installed from the 4.10s it had when I got it (I do alot of highway driving) and it would be plenty fast enough for me. Also this summer im going to freshen up the 3.4 Camaro and get her road worthy again so I can drive it around. As much as I love the TA the Maro will always have a special place in my heart. Everyone asks me why I dont sell it and all I can say is because it means to much to me.

im actually trying to convince my buddy andrew to get his camaro back together that runs 11.2x in the 1/4. he jus got a raise so im hoping i can push it on him to get that thing runnin again!

back to the real topic at hand...

Don't sweet the small stuff Baller, I've been around about 1-2 years before my join date , I think I finally signed up when I started to ask questions on my Powerdyne after I installed it. I think this is the first time I've seen the ugly side , LOL Oh well over time sh!t happens. I can't believe I missed this thread. I drove a Lt1 back about 10 years ago and it really didn't impress me, the LS1 did when I raced one when I had my powerdyne and it left me in the dust after 2nd gear when I had a M5 , but will see in about a month or so and see what my car does with a turbo. Comes down to either you love the 3800 or you like V8's. Since this is a V6 site I would assume we all like 3800's. Just taking a guess.

i just love camaro's and f-bodies in general :D seen plenty of nasty 6bangers and v8's, and both have plenty of potential.
