  • If I built a Turbo Kit for 4th Gen V6 F-Bodies, would I get bites?

First off, I wanna say nothing's set in stone and I'm not even 100% certain of what I'm going to do with my own car, this is just to see what my options are. I will have the funds to do a motor swap or build a turbo car... and I have enough funds to exceed the cost of any errors along the way as well.

If I could build a turbo kit with the following specs...

    GTP Modified Forward Flow Header's
Grand National Turbo at 8 PSI (12 or higher for forged internals)
    Flange
    Air to Air Intercooler
Hot and Cold side piping - all ceramic coated.
    Heat Shields
    KEEPS FACTORY A/C
    BOV
    Oil Lines
    RJC 3DPF Flange
    Taylor Spiro 8MM Wires
Spark Plugs for desired heat range
All hardware to make necessary clearances and relocation, ect...
    Mail in tune

It would make around 320 RWHP and should be able to be used on a completely stock 3.8L motor, would I get bites if this kit could sell for around $2,700??

I personally feel it would be a great start on a turbo project, build the motor up and increase the PSI and you could have a bit of a machine!

If not, what about a Supercharger Kit that used a Pro Charger for around $2,900?

for the buyers it wouldn't be 2700 for an up and running turbo setup though. although it sounds sweet. when i was trying to price out a turbo setup, i came out around 3300 with pacesetters and a masterpower t70 turbo.

A turbo kit from scratch on average will cost anywhere from 3500 to 4000. Depending on the type of turbo ofcourse. I know SSM's turbo alone is close to 2k, I think.

If and when you build this, and de-bug this "kit" with proof of rwhp, etc we can all discuss this - but not now. Only one or two have actually done it - the rest - all talk.
