TERRIBLE! cash for clunker. (remembering how stupid it was) video. (must) watch
Other than national security, local and state taxes usually take care of these, so if you're police are nowhere to be seen, your roads suck (other than your interstates), and things are burning down all around you, then you need to talk to your state politicians. BTW, your money? How much did you pay into federal last year, and how much did you get back on your return?
i wasnt complaining about roads or anything, just things that are worthwhile. money to destroy cars is not.
Re: TERRIBLE! cash for clunker. (remembering how stupid it was) video. (must) watch
I see where Mogobs is going with this, a little known fact: only about 49% of working age Americans actually pay taxes... the other 51% pay initially, but after their normal refund and all of the other tax credits that are offered right now, they end up getting back as much or more than they paid in... so next time, instead of complaining about all those rich people... maybe you should thank them, bc the top half of the tax payers pays ALL of the taxes in this country... and if Joe and Pelosi are correct, they are the only patriots in this country... lol

I got $1100 back. I paid $5000. My dad got back $1300, he paid in a little over $6000. My mom got $800 back, and paid into about $4200. The only person I know that received more or even the same as what was put in was my brother, and he got the $8000 tax credit for new homeowners. Other than that, I can't think of anyone that got back the same as they put in, not even my friends with dependents. And I don't see the connection with the 49% paying, the 51% paying, and then the comment about the rich. If the rich corporations payed their taxes, then why does the IRS have to up their effort in finding offshore private accounts that aren't legally announced?
I don't have to thank anyone, I paid into it, I did my share as a law-biding citizen of the US, and got 20% of it back.

Again, nothing to you is worthwhile unless you're spending it on yourself.
as for my taxes, those are non of business.
I thought so. If you're hurting for money that bad, you can come over and clean my aparment, I'll make sure to pay you cash so we can keep it under the table.:D
Re: TERRIBLE! cash for clunker. (remembering how stupid it was) video. (must) watch
I said clearly in my post that with their refund and the tax credits... I'm not talking about people who work hard for a living... I'm talking about the people who depend on the government... I didn't just make this stuff up. If you don't believe me just do some research... and I don't expect you to thank anyone, maybe I worded that wrong... people who don't pay taxes, and people who depend on the government crack me up when they try to demonize the rich... the very people who are paying for their existence...

and I'm talking about individuals, not corporations... you yell at everyone else for changing the subject that you're talking about, yet yo do the very same thing...

Alright, now Im simply not buying the fact that 51% of the countries working Americans are getting more back than what they put in. when it comes to taxes, so now you can show me some sources.
and I'm talking about individuals, not corporations... you yell at everyone else for changing the subject that you're talking about, yet yo do the very same thing...
NO NO NO. I can EASILY group corporations and individuals together in this instance. There is NO difference. NONE. 0. Corporations have been allowed to be treated as individuals for some time now; just recently corporations were allowed to be treated as individuals when it comes to political campaign contributions. They can contribute to campaigns as if they were any other individual. So there really is no difference here when we talk about individuals over corporations. They are guaranteed the same legal rights.

You think someone that is of the working poor should be grateful their making minimum wage at the job where their CEO cleared a $210 million severance package before leaving the company after only 7 years? I could easily demonize the rich when **** like this happens, and if you don't say it doesn't, look up Robert Nardelli.
I can decide for myself who i want to give money away to,
Then run for office. If you don't want to then vote. If you don't want to do that, don't complain.
i dont want the government doing that for for me- i believe thats called freedom
Again, run for office. If you don't want to then vote. If you don't want to vote, then don't complain. If you did vote, then tough ****. Its that simple. Your choice is expressed thru your vote, don't be naive to think you have a REAL choice in the matter, other than exile to another government.

T-MILL and VENOM. I AGREE with all your points and back them up a 100%.
ONE THING.
REGARDING THE owner of that corvette:
The fact that the engine was EFFEED and ceased, was probably not disclosed to them. They just gave them 4500 and they went on their way. PROBABLY thought the car was either going to be parted out. or sold to someone else. (thats how alot of these dealers dealt with people)
and SURE mogobs has a point. (the owner can do what the hell they please)
BUT! going back on moral values and plane practicality and common sense. I GUARANTEE he or she did not know that there car was going to end up like it did.
(being that its a corvette, im sure they had an appreciation for American muscle)
IM SORRy, but if im selling my car. and i have 3 options all offering the same amount of money,
1st option. (owners gonna take care of it and continue to keep it nice)
2nt option. (owners gonna beat the hell out of it and treat it like a civic)
3rd option. (motor is going to be destroyed and the car is going to be scraped and crushed)
YOU damn well best believe im going to pick the 1st one.
i TAKE pride in what i have. and I value the work Ive done. I would never let that go to waste.
I think mogobs should watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IROtLfoKCLM
NOW honestly if that doesn't turn a bolt of frustration in your mind. then You honestly have no business owning a Camaro. or any car that holds timeless value.

its not a matter of whether i want to run for office, its a matter that you now have to have money to run. and i dont have millions stock piled
i did vote, so when they dont represent me i complain. that is the reason this country exist is because people complained about their government.
the whole idea of the constitution is so that you do have a real say, but when the country is divided into parties (which George Washington predicted to be its downfall) nobody wins.

the guy in the video is right that its a tragedy, but he is wrong that it was nt designed to get Z28s off the road. C4C was meant to do exactly that, take anything off the road that has more than 4 cylinders. their goal is to have all cars running 4-6 cylinders, they could car less about the heritage of v8 american muscle. that is why the 6th gen camaro ss is likely to have a turbo or super v6....

The goal is to have hybrid cars. Cash for Clunkers is a failure anyway. Japan and Europe car makers benefitted from this moreso than Americans'.

They don't have to represent YOU. Its not about YOU. YOU, YOU, YOU. All I ever hear you complain about is YOU. Never seen someone in my life so greedy and selfish. Think outward, instead of inward.
