i saw this case less of how much we are each spending on this kids education and more that why are we paying for an immigrants education when we have plenty of undereducated and uneducated kids already here. shouldnt we take care of home first?

Alot of them don't want to learn...hence highschool drop outs...

As much as I would like to agree with you, no, thats not right at all. If the Perivian family went thru the legal channels to become citizens or on their way to becoming citizens, there is no one in the country that can stop them from furthering their education. And the people that are uneducated or undereducated that don't want to take the time and effort to expand their knowledge, **** em. If you're a natural citizen, and you drop out of school, then how in ****s name could we stop a legal immigrant from wanting to learn?
Ive got no time or effort for people who want to be lazy and not advance themselves. If some kid wants to sit around and not be a high school grad, then to hell with him. Get bonged out of your mind, drunk, sit around and play with your xbox. No consequence to me. I'll give the lazy healthcare, but short of that, to hell with them.

It cost each taxpayer of the country 6/1000ths of a penny each to teach this individual, you wanna collect your money too? I have some corroded pennies in my car, but I want change. As an educator yourself Im ashamed you would be that pissed off for someone wanting a better education. I guess you do it for the paycheck rather than the love of the profession.
It may not cost much per person. I thinking along the lines of; it could be better off spent elsewhere. How about that 10k go towards helping Steve with his health issues or MightyThors wife... How about it goes to a better good, to someone that has paid his dues. This is just one of the many examples money is wasted on. It adds up!

My Dr. had gotten his 2 Dr. degrees in India which was free over there and when he came to the U.S he just had to take the medical exams and that was it, and then did 2 years resident at a local hospital in the city he was living. Which he got paid like 30,000 a year but after the 2 years was up he made bank. So no student loans or grants for him. My friend in N.Y. got grants and still took out a 200,000 loan, this is his last year and then will be gettting his MD and PHD when he graduates,then will start doing his 8 week rotations, smartest person I have met with common sense too. Scored a 44 on his MCAT.
