How often do you hear get a V8?

Everybody keeps on saying "Get a V8!" Who else hears that?

Alot of people say I should drop the 3.8 for an LS1 but if I was ever going to put in a V8 it would be a donovan block like the ZL1 Camaro concept has or the Vector W2 Twin Turbo. But those are very pricey engines so the 3.8 is going to do just fine.;)

I've also thought about doing an LT1 swap but its a ton of work. Not to mention a lot of money. The 3.8 pulls its weight around just fine.

Some people just aren't happy unless they are hatin' on others...perhaps you need to hang with a new crowd.

V6 Fbodies may not be as fast as their V8 cousins but they handle just as well if not better and look great doing it. Just be happy that you have an American performance car, most people have Asian econo boxes that don't get a first look let alone second.

I think all of the people I know prefer me having a v6 over a v8. As is, they make fun of my car for being loud and obnoxious.

I hear it enough, mostly as a joke or when someone gets butthurt over something. But I don't really care. Only makes me want a V8 as a fun corner car and a V6 to take care of the naysayers. ;)

why exactly would you go with a donovan block?

they are very expensive, and can handle way more power than 99% of the normal people could ever dish at it.

a dart block is much cheaper and will withstand 800+hp all day long without a problem.

People think mines a V8 and wouldn't care if they say get a V8 , I would just tell them if you have a faster car then you can talk crap or a car that looks better then you can talk crap.

i hear it alot. but most think i have a v8 cause they are dumb asses. i have a friend that gives me alot of **** but he likes my car alot
