  • 3 hours on an SLK Mercedes...

...and I got a bad back ache.

I drove my dad's Mercedes. He usually let's me drive it with the top down, but never for 3 hours.

The seats are tight and it hugs your body really well, but for that long it becomes hard on your back. My Firebirds stock cloth seats are much more comfortable and I can usually wingle my butt around if it gets uncomfortable for being in one position for a long time.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention that since Car Mags always rav about how comfortable these cars are. I truly disagree now.

Try sitting in a 86 Firebird with worn out seats for 18 hours...now that made my *** feel like....there is nothing to even describe it.

I have an 89, but the seats are still good though even today. No rips at all. Took that thing 800 miles from Riverside to San Francisco. No back ache.

I had a 2007 SLK280 with the standard wheels/ tires - no sports package (bigger wheels, lower profile tires) and it was the hardest riding car I ever owned.

I actually felt that it rode harder than many amg's I've driven so I understand.....and I've driven TONS of mercedes

With my recent back/ neck problems I will NEVER sit in one again.

Even if I didn't have the neck/ back problems, I would not be getting another one.

I actually had gotten the car as a present for my wife.... and within her first drive she didn't want it and she took my e class.

Now, I must say, it was tons of fun to drive, great gas mileage, and decent room for my fat @ss

The optional Recaro seats in some of the Caddies (Mainly the CTS-V sedan and Coupe) are EXTREMELY comfortable, but are a $3500 option on top of the $60,000+ pricetag.

For as beautiful as the CTS-V coupe is, im seriously considering offing someone and selling their body parts.

My dad has an SLK 350. He himself has never driven it for that long so I don't know how he feels. But it's a great car though. Really smooth and fast.

Wow I'm disappointed you'd say something like this. But, if that's the case, why not just "off" yourself so that the car can go to someone who really needs it?!!

Sarcasm doesn't go far these days... oh well.

If it's even more uncomfortable than worn out 4th gen interior, that's bad. There's something to say about a firm or solid ride, but a stiff or uncomfortable ride... no thanks. My lower back starts hurting after two hours in these crappy Camaro seats.
