  • This is what i get for helping someone...

So Toledo has horrible roads and today it straight dumped a ton of rain. on my way home from school i stumbled across a 2-3 foot deep puddle and decide it best to do a u-turn and find another way home. just as im pulling away i see this dude barrel right into the puddle going like 40, needless to say he stalled. i stopped to help him push his car feeling it was the right thing to do. we moved his car but in the process i skinned my knee and pulled something in my back. way to be repaid for helping him!

You still did the right thing. It may suck what happened but one day your going to need help. We all do. Comiting a random act of kindness spreads. Itll come back to you.

Could you imagine if if was you who hit that puddle. And some guy saw you and said "dumbass" and drove off... LOL

I say good job, and I hope you get better.

sorry to hear that, but it's like those commercials... you definitely made that guy's day easier and the kindness will come back around...

lol... that reminds me of when I helped push a girl's car out of the mud after a graduation party me and my friend threw that got rained out. a couple of girls were trying to push their friends car out and I went over to help and as soon as I started to push, my hands slipped off the bumper and my feet slid in the mud and my chin landed on the bumper... I split open a previous scar and drove an hour home with my t-shirt wadded up and pressed on my chin... funny now, but it wasn't then... I have to wear a goatee now bc I can't shave over the scar

I remember when I was a kid we used to sit and watch people try to cross this short section of road that would be flooded after a heavy rain right in front of our farm. It's amazing how many people think their FWD commuter sedan can cross a foot of water rushing across pavement at 10 feet/second. Honestly I'd sit and laugh. Eventually someone would call the DOT and have the road closed after they got stuck.

It really takes a huge orange detour sign to keep someone from flooding their car, you know.

hahaha i know what ya mean, there was a huge line to drive through the puddle even though everyone could see the guy stalled in the middle of it

Hopefully the guys appreciated your physical sacrifice. lol

People didn't even help me push my truck when it stalled, because of a bad alt. Instead they were pissed at me because the heavy traffic and the weather was hot.
