I wouldn't pay a dime over $1200 for a 96 roller in MINT condition... Thats just me though. I can see other people paying more depending on how bad they want it.

You can get a 98-02 camaro or firebird roller for $2000 in fair condition. You also wouldn't have to do any fabraction work to make the LS1 fit like you'll have to with the 96 bird...

I agree with Fink...you should too. Offer your bro' $1k and if he declines look elsewhere, lots of Fbodies out there you know.

And to think I sold my 94' for $800. That included drivetrain...

You need to check the local craigslist.

If I were you, I would help him sell it to someone for $2000 grand. Since hes your brother he deserves your help .

Than take the money you didn't waste on his roller and get yourself a nice 4th gen roller and swap in the LS1 saving yourself a huge amount of hassle trying to make the LS1 fit in the 3rd gen. I understand your point that you believe its worth $2000 giving the mods (10 bolt with 4.11 gears, SFCs, tq arm.) But really, that is absolutely nothing when you start looking around at other rollers. You can find better built 4th gen rollers for that much. You don't need to trust me, just start doing some research and find out on your own.

On a side note: LS1s love blowing 10 bolts no matter what you rebuild them with. Go ahead, ask me how I know :) My 2001 z28 with 344whp/350wtq knows all about it. Come to think of it; My firebird blows 10 bolts up with only 189 whp/197wtq. 10 bolts FTL...

$1000-$1500 max since the suspension is good. They go for pretty cheap around here.

Re: What do you think shes worth.

no more than 1,000 tops honestly.

I bought my old blue camaro (97 with blown intake gasket) for 1200.

I see 93-97 camaro/firebird on craigslist for sale around here for 8-900 all the time. (some rollers, some just junked ones)

Man not around hear. I see them from 2 to 5k around hear rollers. That are ready to go and just need engine and trans. We might just find a stock 3800 and i will install it for him and he can just drive it like that.

On a side note, I have had 10bolts run in high 9's With no issues.. AND run high 10s all day long with no issues.. It just depends on how there set up!! and its a 96 firebird, its a 4th gen

Prices all depend on location. Do some research for prices of rollers in your area to get a feeling. I'd start at craigslist if no one here is from your area.
