  • Wrecked in Cleveland

Just wanted to throw out my story, I know I'm not that active on this site, but heres the story. Had my transmission rebuilt and finished on saturday afternoon. Brought the car back to cleveland for school that night, then this happened at about two in the morning. I was going 50 in a 35, yes I know that's too fast. Its not going to happen again, hit something in the road and lost control of the car, it clipped my friends new civic, and I ended up jumping the curb and plowed into a telephone pole. I'm glad that everyone was wearing a seatbelt and everyone involved is 100% ok, but like i said, just wanted to vent a little so here are some pictures too:
The last picture was about 20 minutes before this happened. next to the civic I clipped.

That really sucks, but it looks like you could fix it back with some used / new parts for not too much. Just buy the car back from the insurance if they total it out.

I would say it's time to move on... from what I can see, that's pushed too far in to fix without having to pull the frame out...

That really sucks, though. glad everyone's okay...

Agreed you could probably find another one for the cost of the damage repair.

              Glad you ok.

I'm not really sure what happened, like i said i was speeding, but its one of those everyone does it roads, I'm really not sure, there was a loud thud/pothole noise, and next thing i knew i was swerving like crazy.

I can empathize. Phone poles just will not get out of the damned way!!!

I had $6500 worth of front end damge misc. interior damage to my car in 2000 and I'm surprised they didn't total it at the time , but had to fix the frame and everything up front even the drivers door. Had some old people turn in front of me doing 40 MPH , I swerved to hit their front engine so the lady in the passenger seat wouldn't of died, she still had to go to the E.R. but I still got mine back on the road and even drove it home 2 miles.

yeah. I would be so happy if the insurance company wanted to fix it, but sadly I only have liability, I think it is getting towed back to pittsburgh tonight though. my parents are really helping me out with this one :) I'll probably start parting it out in may....
