Re: What do you do for a living/job?

I do setup/ installation and support for Micros point of sale systems.

I also setup and maintain the office desktops and servers and do sales research when we dive into areas / tech we don't normally deal in.

Looking to get to the UK if anyone knows of good IT jobs there, but then again if it gets me a work visa - I'd wash dishes.

Re: What do you do for a living/job?

I don't know of any specific jobs, but I do have some contacts in UK universities. I do know that most European companies are looking for people with EU citizenship as it makes it easier for them. I have a permanent UK visa (lived there for 5 years or so when I was younger) and that was very appealing to people I spoke with. I'll keep my ears open for you.

It is interesting that so many people on this forum are in tech related fields (IT, engineering, etc.). Seems like I'm one of the few with a social sciences background.

Yeah - their immigration and work visas are getting stricter and stricter. I found a job in london doing exactly what I do but they wanted an EU passport to travel around and go to different sites. I appreciate any info you come across on employment there, you can never have too many ears listening for you.

Before I worked with computers it was my hobby, overclocking and watercooling setups and what not but now I just don't wanna mess with computers in my free time as much now. I love fixing and upgrading things and my car is in need of both right now lol.

LOL came across this looking up something completely unrelated... Figure I would bring it from the dead.

I build plastic Airplanes... Boeing 787 program, South Carolina...

First Carbon Fiber commercial airliner, 900 already preordered.

I have only worked in this section... while the Final assembly building is being built

Parts get built and loaded on these, and shipped to Everett Washington.

Eventually.... we will be assembling these and shipping them out.

and first flight of first 787... yes the wings are supposed to flex that much
