It will NEVER be as fast as the MKIV 2JZGTE cars. That said, I'm not a fan. A buddy had one, and it was a complete nightmare.

Thanks for the info, I'm looking at a 2000 5.3 GMC Truck with a 06' GMC front, from doors to front bumper and has 06' tail lights also. 30,000 on the engine and tranny, only bad it needs painted and has 22" rims and low profile tires which I would sell for reg. truck rims/tires. Also a plus is I have HPtuners for it and it has headers and flowmaster exhaust. Wants $5000 OBO

I like trucks. I've been looking for the one you've found. Everything up here has a billion miles and people want 10k. After doing some research, I'm going with a 2010 Silverado extended cab.

Thats what this one is ext. cab with the 3rd door, I'm pretty big so I need space. I like that he did the 06' front end but the 2 tan colors didn't match between years so I would just primer it , I have been looking for a GMC for awhile thats why I added it to my Hptuners and I wanted the 5.3 since the 6.0 is too much I don't need that big of a engine the 5.3 will put out enough. My budget was $5000-$6000 for a truck under a 100,000 miles and no 4 X 4. So I might just call about this one. I wish I could go with a 2010 but it would screw up me getting my house in a year or so.

Yea - the 6.0L is made more for towing. You went from wanting a Supra to a GMC - lol.

i say go for the truck just cause its newer and doesnt have any real mods so it will most likeley be much more reliable.
then you got the camaro for mods

I was just curious about the Supra, I had the GMC truck picked out also, but I just need to make sure its a 00' so my Hptuners will work with it. The front 06' ends look more aero-dynamic than the 00' front ends, I guess the guy found a donor or something to get all those parts for it. If he has headers and exhaust on the truck and I should be able to use my wideband to tune it , I think it should make some good HP.

slap that turbo on the 'maro and make the gmc your DD haulin machine. exactly why i went with my jeep instead of another toy (i was looking at '02-'04 wrx's) --- it'll just turn into another project car instead.

I say go for the truck. You'll end up modding 2 cars. Unless, you plan on using the Supra as a part chaser for your Camaro.

Post a pic. An 00 Sierra 1500 front end is the same as an 06 Sierra 1500. No need for a conversion.

                            Get the truck.

The MKIII Supra is a joke. I've checked into them in the past and I will say if your looking into one of those you might as well go check into an L98 Corvette. I wouldn't pay no more than 2k regardless of what it has.

If it ain't a MKIV its just not worth it.

I'd be willing to bet that his Camaro would end up being a parts chaser for the Poopra.

                              7M is synonymous with BHG.
