My wife drives a yellow '02 Cavalier LS Sport with the 10 spoke chrome rims. Well.. were chrome. She purchased the car new in 2002 long before I met her and didn't exactly take care of the appearance. That car is lucky if it got a bath three times a year. Anyway, eight years of brake dust is caked on the chrome rims and turned them gray. I have attempted washing it off, scrubbing with soap and a Scotch-Brite pad and even used Purple Power. It helps just a little but doesn't solve the problem. I don't expect these get these rims to look "brand new", but I would at least like to bring them somewhat back to life.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what other products or methods I should try?
Thanks, Joe
