just wanted to get some insight from the vets around here about how, if possible, to become a mod. is there a certain amount of time or activity you need to have under the belt or is it just up to board discretion? i'm really interested in becoming or helping out in the intake/exhaust forum here, it's one of the areas i have a good amount of experience and research with and usually lend advice or comment on.
Every now and then in the website stuff or staff section this is brought up.
Since the site isnt really active anymore they wont be changing anything for awhile im sure.
its been two years probably since the last time they changed things up with mods.
PM Steve or Robert and bring to his attention the need for a mod in the section you're interested in and why you think you're qualified for the position. Steve (TealV6) is the forum owner and has more control over the forum portion of the site, but Robert (FirebirdGT) is more active and seems to be in better contact with Steve than most. I went through Robert to get the Appearance mod spot.
this was brought up a while back and he asked for reasons to fire ppl and why you wanted to be mod.... then never did anything with it.... so ya dont get high hopes
as dmw said...this site has really taken a hit. there doesnt seem the need for change, so i would just keep posting and offering up your expertise every chance possible. just keep active.
