I think Troy and myself were the last mod changes. It has been a while.

Simmer down n00b. 9 years and under 2200 posts means mostly relevant tech information. Not emo "my gf called my **** small" *** posts. :)

                Re: become a mod?

I'll be honest, there isn't many new people I would endorse to be a mod. Too much mindless babble from them. Its why I had a huge problem with the "other" site.

Sometimes a 2200 post count contains more value than a 13k post count. This site was founded more on substance than quantity, I would hope that anyone wanting to mod understands this....

                  Re: become a mod?

Ok, what can a mod even do besides lock a thread? Suspend accounts maybe, delete posts of other members.. But how much of that is necessary? Maybe I'm not around enough to see a mod really have to take control of a situation.
Baller, if you want to help then I'd say do that and don't worry about having any responsibilities. I'd like to help this forum out too since it's really done a whole lot for me but I don't think becoming a mod would really do much. Other than appease those that cry for a mod for some reason. Those are usually the people that don't get their questions answered right away. But there are a lot of people here who are willing to help, mod or not.

                        Re: become a mod?

agreed blizz. this was just kinda something i wanted to investigate a little more, get some insight. but you're exactly right, mod or not, everyone on these boards should contribute what knowledge they have to offer in some way or another. and that wont change for me as far as i'm concerned.

irrelevant. chip foose could join tomorrow and have a post count in the single digits, would he be a noob? not a chance. (and no, in no way/shape/form am i comparing my experience to that)

                          bottom line ^

quality of posts and knowledge offered, not how much time you spend on the internet.

There are only a handful of us that still visit regularly. If you know the site owners personally then you could probably get a mod spot. It's more fun to own the site than to be a mod.
