lol thats pretty funny. yeah the biggest baddest guy at school is on his second project car (first was a eclipse) hes 17 and now has a 1996 saleen mustang with a 100 shot of nitrous and is about to put a twin turbo system on it. Im pretty sure i cant take that. But my car is mostly for show. i out show every car in school.
He's just using daddy's money to flex his tiny peen. As long as your happy with your car that's all that matters!
Trust me i almost have. But i cant totally prove its this guy but every time i walk byt his kid of his friend they just all talk sh** about my (Spray Paint Paint Job) and my sound system that sucks cause it rattles the trunk to much but i know its just mostly cause jealousy cause even tho its a V6 i can smoke most people at school.
By the way thats one reason i havent got my car painted yet and its spray paint. Cause watch the day i get it painted ill go to school it will be all sick and ill go to leave and a kid like this one would of keyed it and the paint job would be ruined.:rant:
Don't worry about it. I had to sell my '96 Z28 to get out of debt and two years later here I am, driving a 2000 V6. Who cares? I get decent fuel mileage and I don't need or want a V8 anymore. Those kids sound like d-bags to me. At least you have a car.
i deal with this all the time at school people telling me my car is a p.o.s because its a v6. its gunna happen. i just say why dont we race v8 against v8 and then they say you dont have a v8 and i say no i dont but my dad has a gto, you still wanna race? and they always say no and then start asking me questions about it. its gunna happen just ignore it.

Look at v6's for what they are... econo versions of an econo sports car. I feel like we always try to justify it though. "Everyone goes for a v8, I wanted to do something different!" "Its just my dd until I find a lambo!" etc.
NO! We drive econo trailer park cars. Deal with it!
By making up all these excuses, we are just making ourselves out to be even bigger losers. You get respect by being true to yourself. Flat out tell someone its all you could afford. Or tell them that those extra 2 cylinders don't give you balls, all you wanted was a fun, inexpensive car.

Wow you guys are harsh. I'd have been happy with that car in high school. When I was in HS I drove my sister's 97 civic coupe that, hand to god, made no more than 95 hp.
I'm gonna try the "compliment Big Mac." Compliment, criticism, compliment, criticism, compliment.
1) You brought life back to a 4th gen possibly on it's way to the scrap yard. Mucho kudos.
2) Obviously not everyone loves your choice of colors.

4) In high school, yea it probably is the nicest car on the lot. After HS... maybe not.
5) Not a terrible paint job. I think what some people call that is a "20 foot car", as in, it's a paint job that looks good from more than 20 feet away. Still, not bad at all for a high schooler's budget.
And in no way does it deserve the vandalism you described.
OMG Ive been dealing with this all year. YAY some one actually understands what i go threw. School just ended and im so happy cause over the course of the year my car got keyed twice, coffee thrown on it, my antenna was stolen, also stuff was wrote on my car. And just last night my car was egged badly and they were definatly targeting my ca cause other cars around me were not messed with. I no its just jealousy cause they dont have a car like me or us . The one guy that did all this to my car im 99% sure it was him drives a piece of crap jeep. i have one of teh sickest car in school and everyone knows that and that's why they mess with it.

Dude seriously? I would be kicking someones a$$. I had friend (sorta) when I was in hs who once made fun of mine for one reason or another (he had a 89 v8 bird which later crapped on him) and he kept at it, tried to get in my face about it. Made me mad so I gave him a shove. Ended up sending him over a desk and almost head first on the floor. He didn't say anything after that.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
