meh, chicks more or less dig driving droptops. but you tell a girl your camaro has ttops and a stick and you wont even need the turbo to get those clothes off ;)
until they find out its a v6. then they get kinda hesitant. Its like being a plantain next to a regular banana. U just dont match up

I spent the day looking around scrap yards and I found something kinda nice. I found a 1991 RX-7 Turbo II with 80k miles, totaled. It got rear ended at 90mph by a drunk. Engine is perfect! Looks like I'll be getting a TURBO 13b instead of a non-turbo like I was planning. Oh, and I'm paying $200 for the engine because the scrap yard owner doesn't know what he has;).
Anyhow...

I spent the day looking around scrap yards and I found something kinda nice. I found a 1991 RX-7 Turbo II with 80k miles, totaled. It got rear ended at 90mph by a drunk. Engine is perfect! You're gonna be sad. Rotarys don't live past 60k miles. An 80k mile rotary will have all sorts of **** wrong with it. Have you heard it run? Probably not. Here is a term you're going to need to become very familiar with, APEX SEALS. Good luck, there is a reason everyone swaps an LSx into everything...

Its not like I'm going to put it straight in there, I'm going to completely rebuild it. Apex seals, side seals, housing gaskets, everything. Oh, btw, my first 2 cars were RX7s...one was an '85 GSL-SE, and the other was an '89 GTU. I know my rotarys for the most part. The only pain in the *** working on them is that you have to have the entire engine removed to get to a couple parts. However, it is a more simple engine (less parts) and there isnt any wasted power in the power cycle (3:1 power cycle as opposed to 1:3 or 1:4 for pistons). And even if I decide to not rebuild it myself, then The Rotary Doctor in DFW will rebuild it for $1500. Still cheaper than a 20b or a FC 13bTT.
