Sooo...World cup is upon us, and I don't normally watch/follow soccer, except for the Euro and World cup...then I follow Italy.

I'm also not a huge fan of putting things on our cars that don't normally belong there, I.e. Stickers etc. But, I 100% have to get an italian flag up on the car...there is no a/c so the windows are always down...How else can I get a flag on my car??? or how are you guys putting em up?

ya...thats the italians for ya...make you sweat the round robin, but we'll be ok. I wish I could figure out how to get a flag on this car though.

Have you watched it at all? There have been some of the most amazing goals ever so far. Also, the amount of cards that have been handed out is something you don't see also. Shoot, just in the Swiss/Chile game today there were 10 cards handed out.

I don't think there will EVER be a goal like the one Maicon from Brazil scored in their first match.

Uhhh.... The goals have been pretty poor compared to other years, imo. Most of them have been fairly scrappy. With the flight of this year's ball, good shots have been few and far between.

Spain's goal that they just scored was quite pretty though.

ive watched plenty of it, like steve said its been scrappy shots and great ones are so few and far between that its blah. as for the cards, of course you'll have that when you got guys flopping around like NBA players the entire match.

I tried to watch a game but it is just so damn boring. Now I have seen indoor soccor and that is more fast paced with alot more scoring!!

Wait till they get past the group play. It will get much more interesting.

Soccer just isn't your typical American sport seeing as it is usually low scoring (compared to other sports). You have to be able to appreciate a lot of the finesse and skill, which unfortunately hasn't been present in American soccer. Now that many of the teams are importing foreign players and coaches, it is getting slightly better.

Hell, my u14 team in Italy played prettier soccer than most professional American teams at the time (8 years ago).

Soccer ****ing blows, end of story. I don't care if some amateur Italian team or professional Americans, the sport sucks balls.

I think you have an honest belief that the US does NOTHING right at all. I can think of one thing that Italy can't do better than the US....ECO-F'ING-NOMICS!!!

So who's winning? It might be interesting without their convoluted system of who becomes the champion. WTF is even going on there?
