Truck Caught on fire a little

So last night i was takin some back roads messing around in my truck with some friends. I hit pothole i didnt see till the last second (good thing bc if i would've swerved we would have gone into a culvert) goin about 15 or 20. Overflow tube came of and battery fell out of the holder. No big deal. We start headin back, and all of a sudden the lights turn off and the engine sputters and dies. Smoke is rolling from the hood. I open it and see some glowing wires. I start seeing the glow of fire near the overflow tank where the batter should be. The batter had fallen and was shorting the posts on the rail and was on fire!! i grabbed it and ripped it out and everything stopped. thank god. Shorted out and burnt some grounds as far as i saw. HOPEFULLY just need to replace some grounds and i will be good to go. The way i see it though, it could have been a LOT worse.

well it started as an overheating problem and then it caught on fire, somehow, lol he cant figure out why. im guessing it had something to do with his ebay turbo.
