  • Cell-phone image onto TV/monitor

So I have a 7" LCD monitor in my dash in my Camaro, and I was wondering if there's something out there that would allow me to display what's on my cell-phone's screen onto the monitor...

The reason I'd like to know is because I have VZ Navigator on my phone and I travel alot and it'd be nice to have the display show up on the 7" screen of my monitor instead of the 3" screen of my cell phone... any suggestions?

I have an LG Dare btw and don't plan on getting a new phone anytime soon...

That's a tough one because the cell phone doesn't really have any type of video out or options in the phone to output the display. I don't think its possible.

Interesting... if you're Dare has the same or similar charging/data cord as my enV touch, then maybe you could try plugging in the USB end of the charger into your in-dash monitor. This is assuming it's a traditional motorized fold-out HU with a USB port.

It might be able to let you see pictures and video media that way, but I'm not sure if it could do the same for an application like VZ Navigator.

If it doesn't work, Garmin or TomTom GPS units go for pretty cheap these days.

thanks, I'll have to look into the data cord, The monitor I have now doesn't have a USB, but I've been thinking about getting a new one for a while since the price on 11" monitors has gone down quite a bit since I bought my 7".

I'm going to Verizon tomorrow so I'll see if they have anything to offer...
