I've seen it installed in one V6 before. I wouldn't do it because I would get tired of it. Now if it were working based off a proximity passkey and then push the button, fine.

just for fun at that point...

I thought about doing this in my car. I plan on having a key that stays in the ignition and then having a switch that turns the ignition on and then have a push button start. If I wanted to I could still use the key, or I could just leave it in. I have remote start also, so I'd be able to get in, flip the switch and be on my way...

They sell push-button start kits on like JCWhitney and probably other places and they're fairly easy to install for anyone who's interested

When I was having problems with my security keys I installed a toggle switch to crank the starter until It was fixed. But that was out of necessity. Like venom said though, if you have to put the key in it anyway. just go ahead and turn it.

exactly. although i installed a remote starter on my friends truck thats pretty neat.
