  • Sat nav/GPS?

    Hi all,

I'm in the market for a budget Sat Nav. Anyone had any experience with this one - http://ubuyhardware.com/p~p-71961344...-Road-GPS.aspx ? Are Garmin reputable?

    Thanks!

only complaint with my garmin...if you turn it off lets say in ur driveway....then turn it on again about 10 miles away...it takes a solid 5 minutes to locate the satellites. once its connected tho, i love it.

Garmin is the best in my opinion. I don't share Niko's delay problem on mine.

I have my Tom Tom 720 and I like it alot, can download pics and music , I think its 2GB worth of stuff. I like the night day mode and its big enough to read while driving and in color. Also real easy to download updates and user friendly. I hope to plan a trip to N.Y this next year to visit some friends and drive back and forth and this is what I'll be using as my mapping guide. Might even visit Canada(maybe I hear there all crazy). LOL Looks like I'm out voted, from the Garmins, but look on ebay if your looking for GPS's I got mine for like $175 shipped and this was 2-3 years ago.

Garmin is the best. Plus they're made right here in the U.S. The Garmin aviation devision is based in my town and they have some seriously awesome stuff going on in there.
