ive had a garmin for a while (almost a year or so) never had any issues with it. hell it got me to a family members house out in the sticks where the roads arent much more then gravel without any issue.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
only complaint with my garmin...if you turn it off lets say in ur driveway....then turn it on again about 10 miles away...it takes a solid 5 minutes to locate the satellites. once its connected tho, i love it.
I have my Tom Tom 720 and I like it alot, can download pics and music , I think its 2GB worth of stuff. I like the night day mode and its big enough to read while driving and in color. Also real easy to download updates and user friendly. I hope to plan a trip to N.Y this next year to visit some friends and drive back and forth and this is what I'll be using as my mapping guide. Might even visit Canada(maybe I hear there all crazy). LOL Looks like I'm out voted, from the Garmins, but look on ebay if your looking for GPS's I got mine for like $175 shipped and this was 2-3 years ago.

Garmin is the best. Plus they're made right here in the U.S. The Garmin aviation devision is based in my town and they have some seriously awesome stuff going on in there.
we just took a 3 hour trip to cedar point, never failed us once.
I took a 4 hour round trip to Prescott and Tom Tom never failed me. LOL
