I see the line you apparently do not see. It affects society as a whole whether or not you feel it affects you personally.

It only (negatively) affects a society that is against such choices and behavior. To another society that isn't bothered by these choices, homosexuals are simply ordinary people with different sexual orientations. They are citizens too, and on a non-religious view (to stick with a view of separation of church and state), have the right to be married too.

Much like the portrayal of left-handed people in a right-handed society. They're different, but does that really affect anyone else? Other than the need for left-handed scissors, no.

actually the left handed thing predates the Catholic Church by a few centuries, just look at the latin for left = sinestra, the root for our word sinister, and it is almost the same in its negative connotations in every language. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handedness

They have not pushed their beliefs onto you, which is a trait some fundamental christians fail to do themselves.

That seems to be exactly what they are trying to do.

Please elaborate ;) I'm curious how legalizing same sex marriage in some way forces someone else's beliefs upon yourself. Is it simply because it goes against your own beliefs? (Rhetorical question, since an answer of "yes" would imply that you don't believe in every citizen's equal rights to pursue whatever religion/beliefs they please (within reason, of course)).

I don't believe this only a Christian issue who is preventing them to marry, but many Atheists are against this too. As a matter of fact their opinion of the homosexuals are far more harsher than the religious one. It just doesn't garner any media attention.

Here's what I found out:

1. Media employs many gay who controls what is viewed

2. There is a push for homosexual agenda in Hollywood

3. Public Schools are forced to carry homosexual textbooks in order to teach to our children

4. They are shoving this down our throat as a Civil Matter when clearly this is a behavioral issue and not a race or even a cultural issue as they like us to think

5. The media wants us to accept this as being normal when clearly how can a man screwing each other on the anus be normal. Animals of the same sex don't shack up with each other

6. Elementary school children without the parents consent are being forced to watch and join the Gay Pride Parade.

7. Religious institution are being sued for discrimination for not employing homosexuals

8. And what bugs me the most, the people have already voted for this twice in California and twice traditional marriage won, but government, celebrities like Pitt, Spielberg, and such put out a lot of money to overturn this

9. And what's disgusting is that a judge in San Francisco overturned this with his rule. He's gay and the media failed to mentioned that to the people that this judge is gay. He clearly made this a personal agenda. So majority of the people who voted for traditional marriage are duped

10. It is now immoral to say that gay marriage is wrong, according to the media and you'll get lynched by them and portray you as an idiot

11. The media FAILED to mention that 95% of Catholic Priests who abused teen boys are homosexual Priests. They also didn't tell us that this was epidophilia and not pedophilia.

12. Majority (esp. women) are gay by choice. Very few are ever born gay. Most, esp. men, are gay because of the lack of masculine figure in the household, or their fathers were emasculated by their mothers or they come from a broken home.


There are some of you that say it won't affect anyone at all, but in truth it does. When morality slips it opens up a gate way to other immoral things. Polygamist who are not getting the same media attention as the gay are pushing their agenda to allow marriage with multiple partners. Pedophiles are pushing their agenda to allow sexual contact with minors to be OK, as long it is consentual.

BTW...marriage between a man and a woman was created by religion 5 thousand years ago. Yes, it even pre-dates Christianity. By definition it was meant for procreation and rearing of children. Children need the balance of both father (masculine) and mother (feminine). That's something the gay community can never offer. So none of us, including the government, have the authority to change the definition of marriage.

I don't have any problems if the gay community wants to call it Social Union between them, but to call it marriage that's a no no in my book.

A judge overturning a law, one that would be in a direct conflict of interest to this judge? Im sorry, I find alot of what you just said VERY hazy and questionable. Id have to see some solid proof of this being everyday instances to really put faith into what you're saying.

Its nothing more than a human concept, created, governed, believed in no other form of life other than human.

What you are saying is what you believe, not what everyone believes.

If you hold to biblical christian beliefs then marriage is an institution desgined and given to us by God alone beginning with Adam and Eve.
