actually I did do the research seeing as how I studied history, philosophy and biblical studies in college, and I also read the entire page which you presented.

No, because I have a open, inquiring mind - like those in the Age of Enlightenment - our Founding Fathers.

Not held in bondage to religious dogma put together by "priests", that shackles my spiritual nature and personal connect with God.

Oh that's rich! Jefferson - my favorite Deist. Have you read his Bible? I have it on my desk now. He spent years writing it because he thought the christian bible was crap. He, like I, try to follow in the teachings of Jesus - but neither of us call ourselves christians.

also, the very word "Christian" is a derivative from the word "Christ" "Jesus Christ", and means "a follower of or one who imitates Christ" therefore if you consider yourself a follower of Jesus you would be a "Christian". Confusing logic.

I'll add this regarding his bible -

Thomas Jefferson believed that the ethical system of Jesus was the finest the world has ever seen. In compiling what has come to be called "The Jefferson Bible," he sought to separate those ethical teachings from the religious dogma and other supernatural elements that are intermixed in the account provided by the four Gospels. Christ is from the hebrew which means anointed and was a title given to prophets and those who were said to be directed and sent by God, it was a title given to Jesus from the very beginning.
