Honda CR-Z

I went car shopping with my friend Saturday. He recently took a job in Xenia, Ohio and has a 100 mile per day commute. The '04 TrailBlazer EXT that he owns is killing his wallet so he was looking at trading it in on a used Honda or similar economy car. Needless to say, the three dealers we went to offered half the retail value for his TrailBlazer so he decided to sell it out right on Craigslist.

While we were at the Honda dealer I noticed they had a new black Honda CR-Z in the showroom. I absolutely love this thing and it has a lot of styling cues from the 80's CRX. The sticker was $23,900!! I wasn't impressed with the fuel mileage.. I think it said 31 highway? I'm not too sure. Either way, it really made me consider losing the LaCrosse and buying a CR-Z.

Even more troubling is the fact that I really like a Honda.. :twak:

Does anyone else have an opinion of this car?

I truly hope you are kidding. Those things are absolutely hideous.

While the 1st gen LaCrosse isn't my favorite Buick, I'd still take it over any honda any day.

Honestly i don't know why people like hondas. I hate the s2000 and thats supposed to be the better honda. I would never get behind the wheel of a honda.

Nissan has the worst lineup of new cars right now imo. Asian cars have reached a new level of ugly that I always think is impossible to beat..until the next new asian car comes out.

Well the only Honda's that ever cought my attention are the CR-Z, CRX and the Prelude. She would kill me if I brought home another car.. although I'm sure she would be thrilled to see the LaCrosse go.

Nissan has really gone downhill. The 350Z is cool, but they should bring back the 240sx.

If gas is the concern then just get the Honda Insight.

Honda CR Z is OK. I like the interior, but the exterior doesn't make sence..design wise.

I'm diggin the red Nizzan for some reason, hmmmm. LOL The Toyotas and Mazada's Look better than the Nizzans and Hondas. But I still won't own a import car/truck, I won't ever do it.

Had a Passion come in the shop yesterday, and you couldnt help but laugh at it.
I dont know what kind of gas mileage these things get, but a larger person couldnt own one.

They may be the best looking thing nissan has to offer, but they still don't do a thing for me.

if you like it thats all that matters. most cars are about on par with quality these days and honda makes a good car. if i had to buy an import i wouldnt buy any thing but a honda.

new new nissan 350z is ugly the prior model was alright. i have no faith in nissan i had a friend who bought a 06 sentra and blew the motor on the way home from the dealer. the damn car road worse then my f350 and idled as ruff as could be. it had a direct link shifter as well so when holding the shifter you felt all the vibrations from the engine. i could go on and on.

i've never had a problem with nissans. hell my pap had an 88 sentra up til 2 years ago and no problems other than rust. yes i will admit some of the models lately don't look so well. but right now most major makes don't have too many good models to choose from.

I can't think of a single 2010 asian car that I would own based on looks. They are pretty much all fugly. I think Chevy, Cadillac and Ford have a pretty decent lineup though.
