So I'm sitting in the staging lanes waiting after a LOOOOONG oil down, and was talking shop with the guy next to me. Long story short, 468 big block, sounds like a prostocker, 4400 stall, 4.10 gears, and though he was going to kick my **** in. Just goes to show what a slightly motiviated LS1 can do!
This was actually a really bad pass for me. Knock retard, went lean, nitrous worked like crap. So satisfying to beat a "built" race car with some scrap that me, Wes, and James tossed together in a barn.

Nice run, old guys always underestimate a bolt on LS1. I once had an old guy swear he would smoke me in his LT1 Corvette 6 speed versus my auto Trans Am. After I kicked his *** back to back he said he would be back the following week with better tires to hand me my ***. LOL I never saw the guy again at the track.

Nice run , I had a newer V6 Eclipse spray on me , going to the Dr's on Wed. for a MRI , first run blew him off the road 10 cars then he comes up and reving wanting to get another shot, I figured he already turned his bottle on by this time and was waiting for open lanes, I saw his 2 gauge pillar and didn't here a turbo or BOV so I assume it was nitrous he was using. Once we got to some open lanes I got the jump on him about 4 cars then he just flew past me about 10 cars , I had to turn to go into the Dr's and he was trying to flag me down to roll down my window , I just gave him a thumps up, and turned. So I guess you never know what someone has. I know that theres always someone with more power so I don't care if I lose. I just try to keep it safe for me and other drivers. Bird of Prey his car probably weighed 4000LBS compared to your 3000LB car so I would think for how many miles you have on your engine that was a very good race comparing the vehicles and what power levels you both had. Looed like it was pretty close and i love the races that are like that. I hate the races where 1 wins by 10 cars all the time, just takes the fun out of it. Again, congrats on the win.
