I'm an animal lover since I could remember, never mistreated or disrespected them at all. From dogs, rabbits, birds and lately cats whom I find awesome and affectionate creatures.

But this story grabbed my attention and I hope the worst for Mary Bale, as a cat admirer she needs to be stoned or...spayed.:eek:

Jeez, its a cat for ****s sake. I have seen cats in far worse predicaments get out of them easier. Being stuck in a trash can without the lid being held down shouldn't be a problem for it.

I got better things to worry about than a cat getting thrown away. Probably had rabies anyway.

Reading further on the pictorial link below, it doesn't seem that the well cared for cat had rabies at all but look at the cats face peer into the bin. Disturbing lol.

Was it dumb, sure, but this thing is blown WAY out of proportion. If that cat got stuck in there, I would actually think that cat was close to dead anyway. I have owned PLENTY of cats, and not one of them would have been stuck in that trash can for long, not even the 20 lber I have now that has trouble jumping. Cats are not stupid in the least, they're far smarter than any dog could ever be, they're just stubborn as hell. But I HIGHLY doubt that cat was stuck in that trash can.

As for a life being thrown away, again, that cat could have gotten out, and probably did. And I place no more value on a live cat than I do plantlife. No life is more valuable than another, hence all life is expendable. Everything living dies, and everything dead lived at some point. Nothing is immortal, but everything is intertwined in itself.

A tree could have been standing in the same place for longer than I have been alive, by YEARS. What right do I have to take the tree down because I don't want it there? This also applies in reciprocal to itself. I have no natural right to remove the tree, but there is nothing saying a shark can't come and chew my *** off if I jump in the water and antagonize it. Its in the sharks nature. The weed in the driveway has done nothing more than what nature intended for it. I have the power to kill the weed, but eventually I'll die, worms will eat my dead carcass, and a natural fertilizer will be formed from the worms excrement to allow the weeds to once again flourish.

Circle of life my friend, we are no more valuable than any other organism on this planet. We're just lucky enough to be the smartest.
